Welcome to
FaitHOPE Projects

Established in 2011

As an early transplant to Charlotte, North Carolina, Nicki calls the queen city home. She always had a vision geared towards advocacy, outreach and being a mentor for others. Believing the scripture of Luke 12:48 "to whom much is given, much is required", there was never a doubt in her mind to give back in any way possible. Upon graduating with her undergraduate degree from Winston Salem State University, she immediately became a mentor for young women and youth through Communities in Schools. Her commitment to young women sparked a passion for empowerment, encouragement and mentorship. She now serves as a board member for the Safe Journey Program as a Community Member.

While FaitHOPE Projects was formalized in 2020, Nicki's  first community project began nearly a decade earlier, with the establishment of her annual Homeless Care Package Initiative in 2011. As she began her professional career, she worked at a consulting group in uptown Charlotte when she noticed the growing presence of homelessness and people in need amidst an environment that was seemingly surrounded by wealth. Her grass roots initiative continues to grow year after year and has afforded an opportunity to  bring awareness, advocacy and hope to the Charlotte community. In 2020, FaiHOPE Projects began expanding its outreach pillar to partner and lead projects providing services for the Charlotte and surrounding community extending beyond its annual Homeless Initiative to include Pop-Up for a Purpose Community day, Toiletry Donation drives, COVID-19 Care Package deployments its commitment to provide ongoing donations of essential needs and resources to the Community Kitchen located at 615 East 15th Street in the heart of uptown Charlotte.

In 2014, Nicki was diagnosed with stage II Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, breast cancer and, completed a full year of treatment & surgeries at the age of 26.  After over 9 years of survivorship, she was diagnosed with stage 0 DCIS, breast cancer in January of 2024 at the age of 36, making her a two-time breast cancer survivor, following a mastectomy and DEIP Lap surgery and procedures. Her breast cancer journey continues to ignite a passion for advocacy providing awareness and education to young minorities, and under-resourced areas in the fight against breast cancer.
